Chuck and Jewel have been our friends for many years. We've shared more than our fair share of laughs. They were there for the births of our babies, kids' birthday parties, Masters Golf-watching parties, steak-grilling parties, football-watching parties, among other reasons to celebrate.
I knew months before it happened that Chuck was planning to propose to Jewel, as she began her retirement and they prepared to move to their dream home near the beaches of South Carolina. We were so thrilled for them!
It was such a beautiful way to celebrate our own anniversary, too. They got married 11 years to the day that Kevin and I were. And just like 11 years earlier, it was a picture perfect day in every way. (We even got to dance to our first dance song, Louie Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World.")
I was there as a guest and certainly had so much fun. But you know I had to bring my camera and capture a few memories for our dear friends. I've never shot a wedding before - it was quite a learning experience, for sure. I hope these pictures do their day a little bit of justice. I actually got emotional working on both their pictures and their video.
Here's part one... Part two is below - more pictures from the reception including the Best Man's Speech, Matron of Honor Speech, and the incomparable Cooter Douglas. I think he just spoke because he's completely hilarious without even trying!
And Part two - less pictures more video including all of the reception speeches and toasts:
