It's that time again! I missed last month's personal photojournalism blog circle post, and I'm super bummed about it. Life is always so busy, ya know? Last month's theme was Everyday Details and I do want to go back and shoot for that, because so much of my daily routine has little details that change so quickly - just think...soon, there will be no diaper drawer in my bedroom dresser, there will be no diaper pail in my garage...A girl can daydream, right?
This months' theme is based on a quote by Albert Einstein,
"Imagination is more important than knowledge.
For knowledge is limited to all we know and understand,
while imagination embraces the entire world,
and all there ever will be to know and understand."
A perfect theme for Halloween, don't you think? And we sure did have a blast last night, imagining ourselves to be Dorothy, Galinda, Elphaba, and the cowardly Lion. You better believe I was putting on green face paint jamming to Defying Gravity! And my girls enjoyed skipping from house to house, singing "We're off to see the Wizard..." Lucky for me, there were no renditions of "Ding dong the witch is dead, the witch is dead..."
Remember this is a blog circle, which means that you'll need to click around to see how this theme was interpreted by all of our photographers. Be sure to click the link at the bottom of this post to see how Liz DeGroff from "Adventures of a Momtographer" captured this month's theme, "Imagination."
I honestly had such a blast this Halloween - definitely the best Halloween in recent memory. And I'm so proud of my baby boy - earlier this week, he freaked out and wouldn't wear his costume at school. When I tried to convince him to put it on for his sister's party at school, he refused. But last night, he rocked it. He never complained, basically ran the whole way, up a lot of hills, while his sisters took turns riding in the stroller I brought for him. He loved every second of it. It was really awesome to watch. My sweet cowardly lion...
Hope you enjoyed these pictures and Happy Halloween!

A little disclaimer, because I'm highly insecure that that's what insecure people do....I know these aren't my best photos, but I do love them. Photos taken at night come with so many issues, including color temperature (blue) and lotsa grain and noise. I didn't have time to compose these the way I would have liked because I was too busy enjoying trick or treating. And I edited these super fast - I didn't put the time into them that I would have liked, since they were taken last night and I'm posting today, so please be forgiving :)
